For someone to be considered “legendary,” he or she must be either famous, celebrated, well-known, renown, immortal or illustrious. Amongst aviators across the United States this month’s speaker is recognized for his extraordinary achievements as, not only a superior aviator and flight instructor, but more importantly for his success in transforming student pilots into professional pilots. Beginning November 22, 1980, he founded Aviation Career Enrichment (ACE), for the purpose of training youngsters to fly safely, build character, and develop leadership skills. The Fulton County Aviation Community Cultural Center Monthly Aviation Speaker Series is proud to present June’s keynote speaker —— The Legendary Julius Alexander. From his induction, as the third African-American to be inducted into the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame, to his induction into the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals’ (OBAP) Hall of Fame, Julius has undoubtably reached the pinnacle of his chosen career field. At a time when the search for commercial pilots, and military pilots appears to be unending, I recommend everyone, who appreciates aviation greatness, to attend this session of the Aviation Community Cultural Center Aviation Speaker Series. And because Julius Alexander is legendary, well known and respected in the Atlanta Metropolitan community, in addition to being one of the most respected speakers we have ever had, I am expecting a huge turnout with limited seating. Therefore, plan to arrive early for what will be a truly amazing, informative and legendary presentation. June’s Aviation Speaker Series event is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 16, in the Multipurpose Room of Fulton County Aviation Community Cultural Center.
